Shrapnel Games on Friday announced the release of Dominions 3: The Awakening, a fantasy turn-based strategy game that’s been released simultaneously for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. It costs $54.95.
Dominions 3 thrusts you into a world populated by monsters and other fantastic creatures — the turn-based play supports up to 21 human or AI players using simultaneous turns. Modes include internet play, hot seat play, and play by e-mail.
Spread across three ages, or eras, the game lets you play as a nation including some inspired by human history, such as the Roman republic or Gallic tribes, Indian and Hindu mythology, ancient Japan and more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.1 or later, 256MB RAM, 500MB hard disk space, OpenGL-accelerated graphics.
