MS Office 2004, Messenger 6.0.1 updates available

Microsoft’s MacBU has released Messenger for Mac 6.0.1, a new version of their instant messaging application, and the 11.3.0 update for Office 2004 for Mac. Both are available for download from the Web site.

Messenger 6.0.1 fixes a sign-in issue, according to Microsoft. The update to Office 2004 for Mac contains several changes to enhanced security and stability, “including fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer’s memory with malicious code,” according to Microsoft.
