The Iconfactory and Artis Software have released a fast-paced action puzzle game for Mac OS X called Frenzic. It costs $14.95 and a demo is available for download.
In Frenzic, you’re tasked with filling up circles with pie-shaped wedges of different colors. Fill up the circle completely with six wedges, and the wedges will disappear and will be added to your score. Do so with the same colored wedges and get an extra bonus. Some pie positions will unlock special powerups when filled, such as a point multiplier, nuke that clears the playing field completely, or hourglass that slows down gameplay for a few seconds.
It’s a beat-the-clock style game that incorporates online score tracking and a “Devotion” ranking system (from Newbie to Grandmaster).
System requirements call for an Intel or PowerPC-based Mac running Mac OS X v10.4 or later and Internet connection for interactive high scores.
