[Emru Townsend writes]: As you can imagine, the office here at the Digital World East Coast complex is besieged by cables, and more than a few power strips. Which, practically speaking, means that there’s an insane tangle of power cords that can’t be deciphered without a degree in advanced macramé.
Belkin’s got three new surge protectors coming to market in October that aim to provide some organizational help: the six-plug Clamp-On Surge Protector (pictured, top) can be quickly mounted to any desk or table edge up to 1.5” thick; the eleven-plug Compact Surge Protector (pictured, middle) puts four plugs on top, and four along the side, making it easy to push against a wall; the eleven-plug Concealed Surge Protector (pictured, bottom) has a closing cover and guides to help keep some of that cable clutter safely tucked away. The surge protectors cost $34.99, $39.99 and $49.99, respectively.

Derik’s Thoughts: Inevitably, I feel like my surge strips simply don’t do what I want. These get one step closer to satisfying real needs.
