Music software-maker Sonoma Wire Works on Friday announced new drum content that is available for its RiffWorks recording application. Jason McGerr, drummer for indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie, recorded the new loop packages specifically in the RiffWorks format.
McGerr’s sessions are called Genevieve I and Genevieve II. In the first session, Genevieve I, playing his signature Ludwig kit, McGerr offers up beats inspired by the fantastic Death Cab for Cutie song “The Sound of Settling”.
Part II of the Genevieve series offers more kick and hat breakdowns along with some intricate ride work. The company also said that more sessions by McGerr are in the works. Audio previews of the loops are available from the company’s Web site.
The sessions, which are available for download, cost $9.99 each.
