FirstEdge v3 accounting software goes Universal

MYOB has announced the release of FirstEdge v3, a major new release of its small business management and accounting software for Mac OS X. It costs $99 for new users and $79 to upgrade.

FirstEdge v3 is positioned as an entry-level accounting application for Mac-based small businesses. The software provides banking, sales, customer management and reporting capabilities; it can reconcile bank accounts, track expenses, create quotes and invoices, maintain contact information and generate dozens of different reports.

New features in FirstEdge v3 include Universal binary support for Intel-based Macs; undo bank account reconciliation; new budgeting tools with up to two years of budgeting; enhanced reporting; seven years of transaction history; combine accounts and contact cards; improved auditing and financial control tools; changes to credit card processing; import enhancements and recurring transactions improvements.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, G3 or better, 40MB hard disk space (35MB of additional space for each company file) and 1024 x 768 resolution.
