MacPractice announces DR and Imaging for dentists

MacPractice on Thursday announced MacPractice DR (Digital Radiography) and Imaging for dentists. The ability has been added to the MacPractice DDS software the company offers.

MacPractice DDS enables dentists to run their practices using Macs to handle scheduling, electronic claims filing, note taking, prescription management, charting and more.

MacPractice DR will work with Visiodent’s RSV Mac, Kodak’s TrophyMac and aMac. The company said it’s also working with other developers to create Mac OS X drivers for their dental x-ray systems. MacPractice DR can capture and store intraoral and smile photos.

MacPractice DR costs $1500 plus an annual support and update fee of $200. This is in addition to MacPractice DDS.
