SoundBar speaker system designed for flat panels

Altec Lansing hsa introduced the FX3020 SoundBar, a $99.95 speaker system coming in October. The system is designed to tuck away underneath flat panel displays.

The integrated speaker system combines two speakers and a bass pressure driver in a single enclosure that’s designed to sit on a desk and tuck underneath a flat-screen monitor. Angled upward, the speakers use technology to “widen” the audio image, according to Altec Lansing.

Volume and mute controls are integrated on the right front side of the unit, and it also includes an auxiliary input to connect other devices equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Speaking of headphone jacks, the SoundBar has one of those too, if you’d prefer to listen to your audio privately without disturbing those in a close vicinity.
