LightSpeed sales system improves int'l support

Xsilva Systems has announced the release of LightSpeed 2.1, a new version of its Point of Sale (POS) system for Mac OS X. A free upgrade for registered users, LightSpeed 2.1 is priced starting at $749.

LightSpeed features an iTunes-like browser and floating interface, integrated Web Store module, and multi-user database designed to scale to multiple users. It includes quoting, ordering and invoicing capabilities, credit card processing, customer marketing and contact information, inventory tracking, purchase orders and more.

Changes to the new 2.1 release include international support, with tax-inclusive selling prices for European and Australian customers; Web Store 1.1 support that provides a new matrix system that offers users more customization options, integration with On-Target Reports and more than 50 different changes.

System requirements call for a G5 or Intel-based Mac, 1GB RAM, Mac OS X v10.4 or later.
