Lobie puts earbuds outside your ear

Acousticlobe is introducing the Lobie this November for users who don’t want to put earbuds in their ear canal. They’re coming this November for $12.

Lobies are designed to work with iPod earbuds and earbuds from other manufacturers. You insert the earbud into the Lobie, and then hang the Lobie from your ear — it fits over your ear, enabling you to hear music but also remain aware of noise that’s going on around you. The Lobie is also suitable for users who can’t find the right fit with earbuds that keep falling out of their ears.

Acousticlobe is making Lobies in a variety of colors, including clear, orange, pink, purple, green, blue and black.
