Sonnet Technologies has announced the release of its FireWire 800 ExpressCard/34 adapter. It works with MacBook Pros and ExpressCard interface-equipped PC laptops, and costs $99.95.
The interface provides two FireWire 800 ports. Although latter-day MacBook Pros already have a FireWire 800 port, earlier models do not, and some MacBook Pro users may find it handy to have two additional FireWire 800 interface as well.
The device works with Mac OS X v10.5, according to Sonnet.
