Mark/Space has released The Missing Sync for PSP v1.0.3, a free update for their synchronization software for Mac OS X and Sony’s PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld gaming system. Missing Sync for PSP costs $29.95 to register.
The Missing Sync for PSP enables you to synchronize your calendar, contact information, Web browser bookmarks and (unprotected) audio and video with Sony’s PSP game system. The system can connect to your Mac using a USB cable, and The Missing Sync transfers data to a Memory Stick Duo Pro memory card. It also backs up games from the PSP to the Mac, and can also transcode video content to a format the PSP can understand.
New to the 1.0.3 version is support for Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard” and support for Sony’s new PSP “Slim” version (Sony recently began shipping a slimmed down version of the PSP with some additional features, such as the ability to watch video on the PSP on a television.
System requirements call for a G4 or later, Mac OS X v10.4.6 or later, a PSP running firmware version 2.7.1 or later and a Memory Stick Duo Pro card inserted.
