Sorenson Media on Wednesday announced the release of Sorenson Squeeze 4.8 for Adobe Flash, a new version of their video compression software for Adobe Flash. It costs $199, or $49 to upgrade from version 4.5.
Sorenson Squeeze for Flash helps you optimize video for encoding into Adobe Flash. You open an uncompressed video, select one of the softwares intelligent presets, then encode. Sorenson Squeeze for Flash supports a number of input formats, has highly customizable output options, inputs metadata from QuickTime and more.
New to the 4.8 version is support for H.264, AAC, HE-AAC and MP4 output. It dovetails with Adobe’s recently introduced Flash Player 9 Update 3, which adds support for H.264 video.
System requirements call for a G4 or better (Intel included), Mac OS X v10.2 or later, 128MB RAM, 90MB hard disk space and QuickTime 7 or later.
