LogMeIn has announced support for Macs using LogMeIn Rescue. It's a "Software as a Service" (SaaS) for IT professionals and support technicians that provides on-demand remote access and control. It's priced starting at $99 per month per technician seat.
LogMeIn Rescue is Web-based remote support technology that helps system administrators, network managers and others to connect to a remote computer or smartphone without having to use previously installed software.
The new release of LogMeIn Rescue supports Macs, and now works with Mac OS X v10.4 or later, including Leopard. It also supports various versions of Windows, and Windows Mobile PDAs and smartphones.
The support technician's computer still requires Windows, however -- Windows Vista, XP, Server 2003, 2000, Internet Explorer or Firefox and an active Internet connection are required for admin access.
