PDF2Office Pro 4.0 integrates with Office 2008
Recosoft on Thursday announced the release of PDF2Office Professional 4.0 for Mac OS X. It costs $129; upgrades from previous versions are priced at $59.
PDF2Office Professional converts PDF documents to formats that can be read by Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, or can convert them to Rich Text Format (RTF), HTML and other formats. PDF2Office recreates the construction and layout of the document, with paragraphs, styles, independent graphic elements and images, tables, headers and footers, endnotes and footnotes, columns and sections.
Recosoft counts more than 300 new features and enhancements in PDF2Office Pro 4.0. Chief among them is compliance with Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard" and full Universal binary support. The new release also integrates with Microsoft Office 2008 (it also works with Microsoft Office X and 2004). A new Static PDF Form processing type has been introduced, along with a new Convert to Web Page feature. This release sports a new PDF Reconstruction Engine that more thoroughly recreates the PDF document's original structure as well.
Customers who bought PDF2Office Professional 3.1 on or after Nov. 25, 2007 are entitled to a free upgrade.
System requirements call for a G3/300MHz or faster, Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, and Microsoft Word v.X, 2004 or 2008.
