Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) on Friday introduced the Portable Speakers for iPhone, an amplified portable speaker system designed especially for the iPhone it costs $49.95.
The speaker system includes a removable rotating stand that holds the iPhone upright or horizontally. When not in use, each speaker snaps into the base to create a portable "ball" about six inches in diameter. It's powered by two AAA batteries or an included AC adapter.
The system isn't subject to TDMA interference -- it uses the iPhone's headphone jack instead (it's also compatible with any other headphone jack-equipped device. As a result, you can use your iPhone as a "speaker phone" when it's plugged into the system.
