Mobile Mac mishaps

By now, you’ve no doubt heard about the poor guy who missed his flight because the Transportation Security Administration didn’t believe his MacBook Air was really a computer.

But it’s not like he’s the only one who’s ever experienced Mac-related travel trouble. If you haven’t left a laptop in a taxi, searched in vain for an airport power outlet, or had a fresh battery punk out one hour into a five-hour flight, you probably know someone who has.

The fact is, hitting the road with your Mac can sometimes be a nightmare. The only thing you can do is hope to learn from your misfortune and take the steps necessary to keep that particular nightmare from visiting you again.

For an upcoming Macworld story, we'd like to hear your horror stories: the worst things that have happened to you while traveling with your Mac, and how you changed your travel habits as a result. Drop us a line at or just post your story in the comments below.
