iGlasses webcam software adds app support

Ecamm Network has updated its iGlasses software to version 2.1. A free update for registered users, iGlasses costs $9.95. A demo is available.

iGlasses helps you adjust the settings of your iSight or other webcam from within the various applications you’d like to use it with. You can manipulate colors, brightness, and even pan and zoom with the built-in iSight. It also works with Logitech QuickCams and other third-party webcams.

The new 2.1 release adds support for seven new applications, bringing the total to more than 60, including iChat, Skype and Yahoo Messenger. Newly supported apps include Skitch, Pixelmator, Cha-Ching, WebEx Meeting Center, Arkaos VJ, Acorn and ooVoo. A digital zoom button has been added, and other fixes and enhancements have been made.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later and a compatible webcam.
