Sonnet Technologies on Thursday introduced its Fusion F3 RAID storage device. The Fusion F3 will be released in October; pricing will be announced later.
The Fusion F3 is a hardware RAID storage system compatible with Macs, PCs and Linux systems. It includes two 3.5-inch Serial ATA (SATA) drives inside an aluminum and steel case, and it uses a quad interface — external SATA (eSATA), FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0.
The Fusion F3 can be rack-mounted, either alone or with another F3 side-by-side.
The F3 features an integrated, auto-switching power supply. It can be stacked on a flat surface or put on edge using an included stand. You can also install one or two systems side-by-side in an equipment rack.
