LightSpeed sales software adds Tills feature, QuickBooks integration

Xsilva Systems has announed the release of LightSpeed 2.7, an update to its Point of Sales (POS) software for Mac OS X. Customers on subscription plans can get the upgrade for free; LightSpeed is priced starting at $749.

LightSpeed is designed exclusively for the Mac, and provides an iTunes-style browser, “floating” interface, integrated Web store module, supports multi-store inventory lookups and support for multiple users.

New features in LightSpeed 2.7 include integrations with QuickBooks 2009 for Mac. Tills is a new feature to help users manage cash drawers. LightSpeed can now calculate quantity discounts for volume customers, adds batch image import support, and improves compatibility with newer USB-based cash drawers and pole displays.
