ExactScan supports more than 160 scanners

ExactCODE GmbH has announced the release of ExactScan 2.1, an update to its general-purpose scanning software for Mac OS X. It costs $119, and is a free update for registered users.

ExactScan enables you to use one of more than 160 document scanners without Mac driver support from the original manufacturer. It features image enhancement capabilities, blank page detection and other handy features.

New to the 2.1 update is additional model support. It also adds the ability to make copies using a printer. A new “Blank Page Detection” feature lets you use the page as a placeholder or delete it all together. A new option lets you reset profiles to their default settings; scan speed has been improved and support is better for previously supported devices.

ExactScan requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
