iPhoto knows Fluffy's face too

You probably think of your cat as a person. He has his own personality and quirks, even if you don't understand them. It turns out iPhoto recognizes cats as people too. Well, that is if you consider the face recognition feature to be only for people.

Mac|Life was disappointed when informed that the new iPhoto feature wouldn't work with animals, but they've had some limited success with a cat. And by limited, I mean that sometimes a random round object was recognized as the animal. Which is the problem with cats in general, isn't it?

Dogs are supposedly a harder sell (perhaps because of the snout). Have any of you used the new feature to tag something non-traditional? Pets? Computers? Cars? Clothing?
