Apple updates AirPort Client, AirPort Utility

In addition to releasing an update for the AirPort Extreme on Tuesday, Apple also released software updates for its AirPort Client and AirPort Utility.

According to Apple, AirPort Utility has been updated to version 5.4.1. This is the utility used to manage and setup base stations from your Mac computer. AirPort Utility works with AirPort Express Base Station, the AirPort Extreme Base Station and Time Capsule, which was also updated today.

The AirPort Client Update 2009-001 addresses issues with roaming and network selection in dual-band environments. Apple said this update is recommended for all Intel-based Macintosh computers running Mac OS X 10.5.6.

AirPort Utility 5.4.1 and AirPort Client Update 2009-001 are available as separate downloads from Apple’s Web site.
