MLB releases iPhone app with game audio

MLB.com At Bat 2009 lets you stream live game audio.
Major League Baseball Advanced Media announced Sunday that it has released MLB.com At Bat 2009, this year's edition of its iPhone utility that allows baseball fans to stay up-to-date with the latest scores and highlights. The app is available now on the App Store.

Last year's version of the app was introduced in June for $5, offering live linescores and in-game video highlights. It was updated in September to add live Gameday functionality. This year's version, which costs $10, features all of that functionality, plus the addition of live audio broadcasts of every Major League Baseball game beginning on opening night, April 5. Both home and away radio broadcasts will be offered, including broadcasts of your local team. (The web-based version of the Gameday Audio product costs $15 on its own, making the iPhone app a pretty good deal in comparison.)
