Superior Drummer 2.1 adds many new features, fixes
Toontrack on Thursday updated its flagship drum sampler, Superior Drummer. The company used the Musikmesse trade show in Franfurt, Germany to unveil the new version.
Superior Drummer 2.1 features 19 new features, as well as over 30 fixes and small changes. New features include the ability to off all bleeds and bounce only the samples; a new option to bounce through the mixer with effects; the ability to abort the bounce process; and an independent master bounce volume.
The mixer features a new Bus send layout and the ability to use drag and drop on the Inserts and Sends. The mixer also has Pre and Post Effect sends for both Mics and Busses.
Bug fixes in the new version include a fix for a crash when selecting a drum without a Close mic with 'EzMixer follows Selection' active; a bug that caused newly assigned X-drum MIDI notes to not be written in presets or savefiles; and a fix for crashes while changing playing drums on a multi-core machine.
Superior Drummer 2.1 can be downloaded from the company's Web site. For new users, Superior Drummer costs $349.
