Microsoft updates Office 2004 and 2008

In addition to releasing a trial version of Office 2008 earlier on Tuesday, Microsoft released updates for the full versions of Office 2004 and Office 2008.

Office 2004 for Mac has been updated to version 11.5.4 and Office 2008 is now at version 12.1.7. The update for both versions fixes a security issue that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of a computer's memory by using malicious code.

Microsoft said the updates also contain performance improvements for both versions of Office.

The updates can be downloaded from the Microsoft MacBU Web site by clicking on your version of Office and then choosing your desired language.
