Amazon Shop buttons are programmatically attached to all reviews, regardless of products' final review scores. Our parent company, IDG, receives advertisement revenue for shopping activity generated by the links. Because the buttons are attached programmatically, they should not be interpreted as editorial endorsements.
In this mobile age, there’s more than one way—social networks, microblogs, photo-sharing sites—to show off your digital media. But the folks at Pixelpipe think that there only needs to be one way—their self-titled app—for getting those images onto the Web in one fell swoop.
Pixelpipe is an extension of the pixelpipe.com Web site, which allows you to set up a profile including all of your favorite places to post your photos. Once you’ve added the accounts you wish to post photos to—they’re called “pipes” by Pixelpipe—you then set up a configuration to get your photos where you want them when you want them. You can set default destinations which all photos will go to as well as “routing tags” which can be used to tag photos to go to a certain pipe. Destinations supported by Pixelpipe include Flickr, Picasa, YouTube, Photobucket, Snapfish, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and many more—more than 75 in all, according to Pixelpipe’s App Store page.
The iPhone app essentially offers a mobile-friendly interface to your pipes and all of your photos, allowing you to select several at a time or just one, as well as labeling them with a name, caption and keywords.
Pixelpipe supports geotagging, custom resolutions, adding and editing your pipes. It worked without a hitch for all the services I tried with it. The only difficulty I experienced involved setting a custom resolution—in that instance, Pixelpipe didn’t retain the aspect ratio of my image, resulting in stretched photos.
If you’re looking for a way to share your photos from your iPhone to multiple places at once, or even just to combine your image uploading into one application, Pixelpipe does an excellent job of doing all of the above as simply as possible.
Pixelpipe is compatible with any iPhone running the iPhone 2.x software update.
