Security software maker Intego announced Monday the release of Remote Management Console 10.4.5, an update to the software that enables network administrators to remotely manage Intego software on their network. Pricing was not announced.
Remote Management Console lets network admins or others in enterprise networking environments to manage, change settings and apply presets by user and product. It supports Apple’s Rendezvous zero-networking configuration technology, and also lets you manage traveling systems anywhere in the world over the Internet.
The updated release includes new features and enables management of ContentBarrier X5, the newest version of Intego’s parental control software. Administrators can add computers to Remote Management Console’s “Workstation” list by entering a range of IP addresses to be scanned. Presets can also be imported and exported to apply on different administration Macs. Finally, client Macs can be set to notify specific administration servers and download settings from them.
The administration software requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later; the client software requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
