Eye-Fi on Wednesday introduced the Eye-Fi Geo, a new flash memory card with built-in networking capabilities. The new 2GB card is exclusive to Apple stores and Apple's online store, and costs $60.

The Eye-Fi Geo is especially designed to offer "geotagging" capabilities. Geotagging adds metadata to the photo that identifies where in the world the picture was taken.
Geotagging is supported in the version of iPhoto included in iLife '09; the Eye-Fi geo can wirelessly upload photos straight to a folder on the target Mac or into the iPhoto gallery, where they arrive automatically geotagged with location information about where the image was captured.
The Eye-Fi Geo card can also be "upgraded" for $10 to share images online at MobileMe or one of more than 20 other photo sharing and social networking sites, according to the developer.
Other Eye-Fi cards are available with prices ranging from $49 - $149 depending on features.
