G-Map's distinguishing feature is an excellent approach to creating multi-point trip plans. But that's all it has going for it. With its coarse display of map information that's weaker than all its competitors, a mechanical and rough text-to-speech voice, and bizarrely slow route calculation—five to 10 times slower than other apps--the program is a weak entry. There's also no built-in iPod playback control.

However, what makes it impossible to recommend is the software's failure to recognize dozens of Contacts addresses that other software had no trouble with. Out of dozens tested, the program parsed just two correctly.
