A tough outer shell with good padding inside, but exterior "bubbles" take up room.

As its name implies, Hard Candy Case's Bubble Sleeve is covered with large, bubble-like protrusions. Together with the case's tough fabric (in your choice of black, red, or yellow) and fairly rigid shell, these bumps should provide good protection against outside insults (particularly if you have the Bubble Sleeve inside another bag, where this strapless sleeve belongs). This texture does, however, make the Bubble Sleeve somewhat bulkier than other iPad sleeves.

One of the inner surfaces of the Bubble Sleeve is covered with soft black fabric and a rectangle of extra padding for the iPad's screen. The other side, where your tablet nests, sports four red-rubber bumpers for additional shock protection; however, the bumpers do little to hold the iPad in place—they certainly don't pass a "turn it upside down and shake it" test. Still, as long as your shoulder bag has room for it, the Bubble Sleeve should provide fine protection for your tablet.
