The official online Star Wars shop sells everything from action figures and apparel, to school and kitchen supplies. Now it's added an iPhone case to its inventory—and it isn't just any iPhone case, young Padawan. This blue and white hard case turns your iPhone into none other than Luke Skywalker's sassy robotic companion, R2-D2—if you have a very active imagination, that is.
We'll go ahead and say that this case probably has limited appeal to non-Star Wars geeks, but for true fanboys, the ability to play Princess Leia’s “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi” video on something that vaguely resembles R2-D2 just might make it worth the $30 price tag.
The case fits the iPhone 3G and 3GS and begins shipping in October.
