1Password 3.4 update includes limited Firefox 4 support
Agile Web Solutions has updated its password storing utility, 1Password, with a number of new features, updates, and fixes, including partial support for the Firefox 4 betas and new tools for detecting and resolving conflicts for all Sync modes.
1Password is a secure database that keeps track of your Website logins, secure notes, identities, credit cards, bank accounts, and software registration information. It also helps you generate highly secure, unique passwords for all of your site logins, while letting you access these sites using only your 1Password master password.
Users of the Firefox 4 beta will be pleased to find that 1Password 3.4 now offers partial support for the browser, though Autosave and HTTP Authentication features are not yet available in Firefox 4 extension.
1Password’s 1PasswordAnywhere feature, which lets you securely access your data from anywhere using Mac, Windows, or Linux computers, has also been given improved performance and security updates, and can now be used entirely offline.
Another important update to Password 3.4 is an improved Sync Conflict Resolver, which now displays full information about the objects in conflict and highlights the differences for you. It can also now detect and handle Dropbox Sync conflicts. A new Find and Resolve Sync Conflicts menu has been added under 1Password’s Tools drop-down menu for easy access to this feature.
1Password 3.4 also promises improved support for localization, improved date entry fields, and a number of minor bug fixes.
1Password 3.4 costs $40 and requires OS X 10.5 or higher. The update is free to current licensed users of version 3.0 or higher.
