NEC on Monday announced its new MultiSync EX Series of ultra-slim LED-backlit desktop monitors.

The first entry into the new series is the 23-inch MultiSync EX231W, whose name rolls right off the tongue. It’s an LED-backlit LCD monitor that includes a DisplayPort and DVI-I, offering support for full 1920x1080 high definition video.
The monitor is just 14.6 millimeters thick, weighs less than ten pounds with its stand, and includes a USB pass-through at the top. The four-way adjustable stand provides 110 millimeters of height adjustment, along with pivot, swivel, and tilt.
The EX231W will be available in November, and is expected to cost $339.
