Review: SGP Argos for iPhone 4/4S

SGP’s $38 Argos Leather Series case features a form-fitting leather shell with a front-flip cover, and is available in red, pink, white, or black. The cover is held in place by a stiff leather clip, while the inside is lined with embossed felt to protect your iPhone.

While the case is well-constructed and provides a snug fit, the front-flip cover can become awkward once opened, and I had trouble holding it comfortably. Most buttons are easily accessible, but unlike Sena’s similarly-constructed Magnet Flipper, this case blocks access to the iPhone’s dock connector when the cover is closed.

These issues aside, if you enjoy a well-constructed front-flip folio case, the Argos Series is a strong—and relatively inexpensive—contender.
