US+U Swivel Pro
At a Glance
The $70 US+U Swivel Pro is an attractive, faux-leather case with several unique features. The tri-fold design adds bulk, but you also get a corner pocket for storing full-size (8.5- by 11-inch) documents. On the inside front cover is a hand strap that rotates a full 360 degrees—when the case is open, you slide your hand through the strap, allowing you to hold the iPad at any angle.
To secure the iPad in place inside the Swivel Pro, you slide the device into the case's leather frame. As with Apple's iPad Case, the Swivel Pro provides an extra flap on the entry side of the frame so you can tuck the flap under the iPad and secure the device in place. The edges of the Swivel Pro's leather frame are much thinner than with most similar cases I've tested, leaving more of the iPad's face exposed—that's a good thing, in my book. All ports remain accessible when the iPad is in the case.
The Swivel Pro's inside front cover also offers a kickstand, allowing you to prop the iPad at a good angle for typing. And the case stays closed thanks to the extra folio layer and a magnetized leather strap.
Though the case is a bit bulkier than most folios, owing to its third fold, it's remarkably flexible and looks great. If you're someone who likes to travel with an iPad along with a bunch of paper documents and a pen, and you don't mind a little extra thickness, the Swivel Pro is an excellent choice.
