Twelve South unites your Apple Keyboard, Magic Trackpad

The designers at Twelve South can no longer stand by and allow Apple’s Wireless Keyboard and Magic Trackpad to roam aimlessly about our desks. On Wednesday the accessory maker announced the MagicWand to unite these two star-crossed input devices in holy productivity.

The MagicWand is a bracket that allows you to slide in both Apple’s Wireless Keyboard and its Magic Trackpad right next to each other, turning them into the long, unified desktop input powerhouse that Apple doesn’t seem to be interested in making itself. You can place the trackpad on either side of the keyboard, which should be ideal for left-handed mousers or designers who also want to add a traditional mouse or drawing pad to their setup.

If you want to use this on your lap at your desk or in the living room, Twelve South includes an “H-beam Stabilizer” that slides between the keyboard and trackpad and creates a more rigid bond between the two.

The MagicWand is available now for $30.
