Second-generation Apple TV

The second iteration of the Apple TV is a spectacular hardware upgrade from the old model. It’s just a quarter of the size of the original Apple TV, runs a version of iOS—just like the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch—and is powered by the same Apple A4 processor used in the original iPad. To top it all off, the previous Apple TV cost $229; this vastly more advanced model will set you back $99.

Most importantly, it offers a bunch of cool new features, as well as improves on many of the original features. Here are nine things that make the second-generation Apple worth a spot in your media room.
