Remote Conductor now available in iPhone version
Remote Conductor, an app that lets you run your computer from an iPad, is now available for the iPhone as well.
An offering from Seattle developer m3me, Remote Conductor 1.0 launched in late May. Like its iPad predecessor, the app lets users control their Mac or PC from their iPhone; it acts as a wireless trackpad with multitouch support, and includes the ability to launch and switch between apps and windows on your computer desktop. (A video below shows the app in its iPad version.)
Users must download free Conductor Server software to their computer—it requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later—before using the iPhone app. Naturally, a Wi-Fi router is also required to enable communication between the iPhone and the computer; potential users can test their network at the app's Website. Once the phone and computer are connected, the app offers on-screen security instructions.
Remote Conductor 1.0 costs $2, and is compatible with devices running iOS 4.0 or later.
