Pro app updates follow Final Cut Pro X release

The same day it debutedĀ Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, and Compressor 4 to the public, Apple on Tuesday separately released several software updates for those applications.

Motion 5 is one of the programs with updates available.

The Final Cut Pro X update adds more than 1,300 rights-free sound effects to the audio browser of the video-editing program. Additional audio effects for the Space Designer plug-in are also included.

The download for Motion 5, meanwhile, includes a series of customizable templates to use in Apple's video-effects program. The update also includes sample video clips and images to use with the app's tutorials, along with a library of animated vector graphics, backgrounds, royalty-free images, and other useful content.

Finally, the ProApps QuickTime Codecs update adds the following codecs for use by QuickTime-based video applications: Apple Intermediate Codec, Apple ProRes, AVC-Intra, DVCPRO HD, HDV, XDCAM HD/EX/HD422, MPEG IMX, and uncompressed 4:2:2. The update is recommended for all users of Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, or Compressor 4.

The Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5 downloads are compatible with OS X 10.6.7. The ProApps QuickTime update is compatible with OX 10.5.6 or later, and QuickTime 7.6 or later. All of the add-on downloads are free.
