If you’re looking for a lightweight folio with multiple landscape viewing stand options, Belkin’s $40 Slim Folio Stand for the iPad 2 is a great option. It’s available in three color combinations: black accent on black, blue accent on black, and red accent on black. You slip your iPad 2 into a frame from the spine-side and secure it with a soft fold-in cloth that extends over the entire length of the tablet. All buttons, cameras, and ports are easily accessible.

Unlike its bulkier Flip Folio Stand brother ( ), Belkin’s Slim Folio Stand has a secure keyboard stand option as well as an adjustable landscape viewing angle. The Slim Folio Stand also holds the iPad better than the Flip Folio Stand, keeping the buttons lined up with their respective openings even after extended use in landscape mode. And even with its slim design, the iPad feels adequately protected. The main feature that the Slim Folio Stand lacks is an elastic closing mechanism. Because the case is so lightweight, the cover actually folds slightly open when the folio is closed—a problem that a cover-closing mechanism could easily fix. It also does not support the iPad 2’s magnetic sleep/wake feature.

Overall, the Slim Folio Stand is a great option for everyday use, as it provides multiple viewing modes without adding much weight to the iPad.
