Avoiding summer brain drain

It’s the end of May, which means the end of school is just around the corner for a lot of kids. Before those kids can write their “What I did on summer vacation” essays next fall, they actually have to experience that summer vacation and it’s up to you, as a parent, to plan that time off. In this episode we talk about putting that time off to constructive use so that when your child walks into the classroom come September, they will have retained something of their previous year’s learning. I’m joined by senior editors Scholle Sawyer-McFarland and Roman Loyola to talk about how to do exactly that.
