Sennheiser earbuds go pink for breast cancer

Sennheiser on Thursday announced the release of bubblegum pink-colored CX 300 ear-canal headphones. The headphones cost $89.95, with 10 percent of the price being donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure charity, to help fund breast cancer research.

The limited-edition headphones will be available through the end of May, 2008, according to Sennheiser. They are identical to current CX 300 earbuds; they seal off ambient noise with adapters that fit in the ear canal. The earbuds come with three different sizes of adapter.

The cables are asymmetrical to avoid a lot of dangling mess, and the wires are colored to match the earbuds. The device comes with a two-year warranty and works with any product that features a 3.5mm headphone socket, including iPods.
