Expo: Griffin's WindowSeat to keep iPhone close at hand for motorists

Griffin Technology has announced WindowSeat, a new windshield mount specifically for Apple’s iPhone. The WindowSeat features a silicone grip that easily attachs to the inside of a vehicle’s windshield so an iPhone can be at eye level while driving—particularly useful for iPhone owners who plan to take advantage of the iPhone’s new location-based mapping services added with the 1.13 software update this week.

The WindowSeat’s swiveling ball-and-socket joint lets users make quick adjustments to the iPhone’s viewing angle, and, when drivers reach their destination, they can quickly grab their iPhone using a corner-release tab. The WindowSeat can also be used in conjunction with Griffin Technology’s PowerJolt iPhone car charger.

Griffin Technology will begin selling the WindowSeat in March for $19.99.
