SuperDuper adds Leopard support

Shirt Pocket on Tuesday announced the release of SuperDuper 2.5, a new version of their backup and archival utility for Mac OS X. SuperDuper costs $27.95 to register, and version 2.5 is a free update for registered users.

SuperDuper enables you to create a fully bootable backup. It features a built-in scheduler and uses clear language to describe what's going to happen. Shirt Pocket says the software is complementary to Time Machine, Leopard's own built-in backup system, as SuperDuper can create bootable backups.

Besides Leopard support, features new to the 2.5 release include improves Spotlight handling, a "Run Now" feature for scheduled copies, icon preservation for destination volumes and performance improvements.

SuperDuper requires Mac OS X v10.4 or later, and is a Universal binary.
