CatalystOffice now compatible with the Mac

CatalystWeb has brought Mac support to its Web-based collaboration software, CatalystOffice. The company announced its “enterprise-grade” package compatibility on Monday, but only using the Firefox Web browser.

“Firefox is fundamentally designed to support Web-based applications, without the security issues that have plagued IE and other browsers,” said Bob Mathew, CatalystWeb founder and CEO. “We found Firefox to be the fastest, safest, and most-interactive browser, which is why we instruct all clients to make the switch if they haven’t already.”

Apple’s Safari Web browser is also not supported at this time, the company said.

The CatalystOffice suite consists of email, document management, calendar, contacts, and instant messaging. CatalystWeb says these are the same tools that larger companies use, but are tailored to the small business.

Pricing for CatalystOffice is based on how much space an organization uses. Plans start at $25 a month for 10GB of storage and scale up to $125 a month for 100GB. There is no contract or individual user licenses required.
