Hard case allows iPhone touch control

by Peter Cohen, Macworld.com

Ivyskin has launched the Xylo Touch-Thru (T2) case for the iPhone. It covers the iPhone with a scratch-resistant shield that still allows you to control the iPhone with your finger. It costs $34.99.

The Xylo T2 case is form-fitted to match the iPhone’s dimensions. The cover protects the iPhone from scratches and dust, while allowing full access to the iPhone’s controls. Parts of the case are made with clear polycarbonate, as well.

The device’s maker describes the use of “a special patent pending material” that protects the screen while conducting electrical current through, allowing users to operate the iPhone as they would without the protective cover in case — in fact, it will also work with a gloved hand, according to Ivyskin.
