MacGourmet sports new plug-in framework

by Peter Cohen, Macworld.com

Advenio has released MacGourmet 2.3, an update to their cooking and recipe organizer they describe as “iTunes for Recipes.” A free update for registered users, MacGourmet costs $24.95.

MacGourmet lets you organize recipes, wine notes and cooking notes. You can browse your collection or build custom lists for categories such as appetizers or desserts. The software supports built-in Web publishing using .Mac or WebDAV, clipping from Web pages and the ability to import Web sites. It also offers nutritional analysis.

New to the 2.3 release is a revised shopping list editor. A new plug-in framework has been added, along with new display and print themes, along with other improvements and enhancements.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later, 15.5 MB hard disk space and an Internet connection. A trial version is available for download.
