Curves color editor plug-in released for Aperture

by Peter Cohen, Macworld.com

Human Software on Wednesday added a Curves module to its Edit 1.1 suite of plug-ins for Apple’s Aperture pro photo software. The new module costs $29.95; it can be purchased on its own or for $299.95 for the complete set of 12 modules.

Edit Curves
While Aperture sports its own built-in adjustment tools for editing the color values of your digital photos, the tools work specifically on a levels-based interface.

The new Curves module for Edit provides curve tools that may be a more comfortable fit for photographers who do touch-up work using Adobe Photoshop instead — it lets you color-correct one or multiple images by picking up highights, shadows and gray point to balance colors.

The Curves module joins other Edit modules including image denoising, refocusing, beautifier, correct lens distortion, grid distortion and more.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.5 or later and Aperture 2.1 or later.
