Epson announces new PowerLite 1716 projector

Epson today released the PowerLite 1716, a projector designed for business travel. Priced at $999, the PowerLite 1716 will be available in October.

With a brightness rating of 2,700 lumens, the PowerLite 1716 uses 3LCD technology and has a 1024 by 768 native resolution. The projector has VGA, S-Video, and Composite video ports (DVI-to-VGA or Mini DisplayPort-to-VGA adapters are not included), and also has a USB port for connecting a USB flash drive with pictures. The PowerLite 1716 can also receive video input through USB, but this feature is not Mac compatible.

The PowerLite 1716 weighs under four pounds, and comes with a carrying case and remote control.

Epson includes a two-year limited warranty, which includes Epson’s PrivateLine phone support and a Road Service projector replacement program.
